The Javelina Band competed at the State Marching Contest in the Alamodome in San Antonio against the twenty best bands in the state of Texas for a chance at the gold, silver, or bronze. The Javelina Band performed an awesome show with smiles on their faces while our wonderful crowd cheered them on. The band placed 6th in prelims making it to finals and later placed 3rd in the entire State of Texas!!! Great job band! Our whole community is very proud of you!

The Mighty Javelina Band has been working very hard this year and all the hard work as trully paid off. This is the year to advance to state and the students have made it! Mr. Sanchez and the other band directors are very proud of the students and everyone was very anxious and excited to represent Crystal City at the State Marching Contest. This years Marching Show is entitled "Minimally Speaking" including the songs:
*Our opener, "New Rhythmics" by Richard Saucedo,
*Our ballad, "Layers" by Richard Saucedo, and
*Our exciting closer, "Incantation" by Benoit Jutras.
